A 32-year-old woman and her 5-year-old son sustained serious injuries after being struck by a vehicle in a parking lot Saturday afternoon.
The incident occurred around 2:58 p.m. in front of Adrenaline Entertainment Center at 7645 Lake Worth Road.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, a Ford SUV was traveling northbound through the parking lot when the driver failed to notice the mother and child walking southbound across a crosswalk.
While attempting a left turn, the SUV struck the pair, knocking them into the roadway before running them over.
Both victims were transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center with serious injuries.
The identities of the mother and son have not been released.
The incident remains under investigation by local authorities.
