A 19-year-old driver lost his life in a crash on South Military Trail in Boynton Beach during the late afternoon of Nov. 8, according to reports from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities stated that the young driver was speeding northbound when he lost control of his vehicle near the 7800 block of the road, causing it to skid into the southbound lanes. The car then collided head-on with a Hyundai, with both vehicles’ front driver’s sides taking the impact.
The teen was pronounced dead at the scene, though authorities have not yet released his identity. The driver and a passenger in the Hyundai sustained minor injuries and were taken to Delray Medical Center for treatment.
